Questions
Frequently asked
What do liquid herbs taste like?
Liquid herbal extracts can be pungent and bitter — they are concentrated medicinal preparations, not supplements. Some are more pleasant (liquorice, fennel, cinnamon), while others are intensely bitter or astringent. Most clients find the taste manageable when diluted in a small amount of juice or water, and quickly associate the flavour with feeling better.
How do I take my formula?
The standard method is to measure your prescribed dose, top up to approximately 30ml with water or juice, and take as directed on your label. Your label will specify whether to take with food or away from food, and at what time of day. If you have any questions about your dosing, please contact Tiffany before adjusting.
How long before I see results?
This varies significantly by condition. Acute presentations (cold and flu, UTI, digestive upset) typically respond within 5–10 days. Hormonal imbalances, skin conditions, and chronic gut issues generally require 6–12 weeks of consistent use. Tiffany will give you a realistic timeframe during your consultation based on your individual case.
Can I order without a prior consultation?
Dispensary orders are for existing clients with an active prescription from Tiffany only. Herbal medicine is highly individualised — what works well for one person may be contraindicated for another. If you are a new client, please book an initial consultation first.
Do the extracts contain alcohol?
Yes. Alcohol is used as a solvent to extract the full spectrum of medicinal constituents from the herb. Glycerin-based or water-based alternatives are available on request, although these may be less clinically potent. If you have concerns about alcohol, please discuss this with Tiffany and she can advise the best option for your situation.
Are herbal medicines safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
Many herbs are contraindicated during pregnancy, particularly in the first trimester. Tiffany regularly prescribes safely for pregnant and breastfeeding clients, selecting herbs with well-established safety profiles. Always disclose pregnancy or breastfeeding status at your consultation so your formula can be adapted accordingly.
Where are your herbs sourced?
Ritual & Remedy sources only from leading Australian suppliers including MediHerb, The Herbal Extract Company, and Optimal Rx. Where possible, herbs are Australian-grown, organic, or wildcrafted. Quality and constituent potency are the primary criteria — the most effective clinical results come from robust, properly harvested herbs.
